A meeting has been set to review design application permits for a potential new Casey’s location in Pella.
The Community Development Committee will have a regular meeting on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Pella Community Center.
Vice President of Finance Brian Johnson says it’s the first step in their process of building a new store at the corner of Main and Union Streets in Pella, after their variance request was denied by the Board of Adjustment in December. If all site plans are approved by the appropriate city boards, the new location would eventually replace three current stores in Pella.
City of Pella Planning and Zoning Director George Wesselhoft tells KNIA/KRLS News this meeting is meant to review the dutch architecture portion of the plans, and there will be additional meetings to review other permits. There will be no public hearing, but anyone is welcome to attend according to the city’s Planning and Zoning department.
