The Pleasantville Girls Basketball team graduated only two seniors from this past years 7-15 squad, normally that few amount of seniors would be a good thing for a team looking to build experience and depth.

However, the squad this past season would only have a bench of two or three players deep, and will look to build upon that for next year with a new group of players fighting for playing time. Sophomore guard Jessica Remster was an option off the bench this past season, averaging .7 points per game, and Coach Aaron Fichter will look towards Remster as well as some of his younger players that didn’t see much varsity court time. Taylor Clark and Jordan Dursky held down key spots on the junior varsity team, and coach Fichter will have to rely on his younger girls growing up fast if he plans on using them at the top level. The Trojans will also look towards junior guards Abbie McVay and Morgan Thorpe, both whom came off the bench this past season, to start producing more perhaps from the starting lineup. The Trojans play in one of the toughest conferences in the state, but will have plenty of varsity experience to compete with the strongest teams.
