Four Trojan wrestlers would place in the top two of their respective weight classes and earned a spot at the state competition this Thursday.
The Trojans would have five wrestlers compete in the district competition on Saturday hosted by the Trojans, Cael Lester did not participate due to injury. Griffin McBride would fall in the first place match at 145 but win the in the second place matchup at 145lbs, Sawyer Phillips would match McBride’s route to State and get second place at 152lbs. Chaz Clark would continue his astounding season and dominate his competition at 195lbs getting first place by 5-3 decision, and Will Anthony at heavyweight would win first place by fall in just 1:08. The four Trojans continue their season at the State Meet this Thursday, full results of the district competition can be found below.
