Four Pleasantville Trojan underclassman wrestlers went to Wells Fargo Arena this past weekend for the State Wrestling Tournament.

Three wrestlers would place, and many would consider this an excellent season especially considering the quarter of wrestlers will be back next year. It’s not enough however for the Trojan grapplers, they want more and they plan on working hard in the offseason to get there. It was their first season under new head coach Heath DeForest, and the wrestlers learned a lot and grew up a ton during the season, and Pleasantville 152lb Wrestler Sawyer Phillips told KNIA/KRLS Sports that they grew up even more during the state tournament and gained valuable experience. The four Trojan wrestlers will be joined by sophomore Hunter Tyree and freshman Cael Lester who both advanced to just one round before the state competition. A full recap of the Trojans wrestling season will be on the Knoxvilly Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner in the coming weeks.
