One in four Iowa children don’t get enough to eat.

A group in Knoxville is working to make sure kids in the community get enough food in the summer when school lunches aren’t available. Knoxville School Nurse Angie Mitchell says the group is getting organized, and she is impressed with the number of individuals who are stepping forward to help with the effort. Mitchell says they can use all of the assistance they can get. For those who are interested in helping, their next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 11 at 5:30PM in the Knoxville Senior Center.
