Despite traveling to Wartburg last week and coming away with a win, the Simpson Storm Men’s Basketball Team fell at home to Wartburg 95-87.

A balanced score sheet was the norm as always for the Storm, four players were in double figures but the normally stingy defense was porous. Guard Jordan Cannon was too much for the Storm to handle as he dropped 29 points, and Wartburg as a whole shot 53%. The Men fall to 12-8 and 5-4 in the IIAC. The Storm Women’s squad also fell to Wartburg as the season sweep was completed. Katie Summer and Aryn Jones for Wartburg combined for 47 points, while the Storm could only muster one player with double digit points, Maddie Bosworth scored 10. The Storm Women fall to 12-8 and 5-4 in the Iowa Conference, and both Storm squads will next play this Saturday at home against rival Central.
