A man wanted in three counties was arrested by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, the MINE Task Force, and the Iowa State Patrol after a foot chase Monday afternoon.

Sheriff Jason Sandholdt tells KNIA KRLS News that Chief Deputy Troy Fisher was conducting a routine traffic stop at approximately 1:30PM when Taylor Wayne Jones of the Eddyville area left the vehicle, struggled with Chief Deputy Fisher–where Jones lost his shirt and sweatshirt, and fled into a wooded area. Deputies and task force members arrived and set up a perimeter west of the traffic stop. Sheriff Sandholdt and Trooper Matt Struecker started tracking Jones. They were able to apprehend him after a 30 minute foot chase. Jones is wanted in three counties for multiple charges, including drug charges and interference with official acts. He is currently being held in Marion County Jail on the multiple warrants.
