Warmer than expected weather kept snowfall totals down throughout much of Marion County today.

Many reported totals of 1-2″ of wet, heavy snow in the morning, but much of it melted away. Little accumulation is expected in the county when a second band pushes through overnight. Travel is still hazardous, especially in northwest portions of the state. Many schools were delayed or cancelled as a result of early morning conditions. A snow ordinance remains in effect for the city of Knoxville.
