Class 1A and 2A wrestling sectional are today. Knoxville heads to what may be the toughest meet in the state as the Panthers will have to deal with class 2A top ranked Albia, plus several ranked grapplers. The latest Predicament rankings released Thursday show two Panthers in the top ten, Travis Poffenbarger is eighth at 220 pounds, and Brock Caviness is number four at 285. Coach Doug Hatch tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the time to peak now. Meanwhile in 1A Twin Cedars heads to Southeast Warren/Melcher-Dallas for the sectional. Both squads hope to get wrestlers through to the district which will be at I-35. The top two wrestlers from each weight class will advance to the districts next week while the top two teams will qualify for the team regionals on Tuesday.
