Wrapping up their stay in Florida on Saturday, the Central baseball team fell in walk-off fashion to Oglethrope of Georgia, 4 – 3. Central fell behind 2 – 0 early, and then trailed 3 – 2 going into the eighth before tying it up. A one-out single that found its way through the infield on the right drove in the game-winning run for Oglethrope. Dylan Diveney threw seven strong, giving up three runs on six hits with seven strikeouts. Blake Judkins, pitching for the first time in over a year, went an inning-and-a-third, surrendering just one hit and one walk while striking out two. Central’s record stands at 2 – 5, and they are off for a week before facing St. Thomas next Saturday at home for a doubleheader.
