Slipping four spots, the Central softball team is a little down in the most recent NFCA Division III Top-25 coaches’ poll. The Dutch were 17th, but fell to 21st, after an 11 – 5 record in Florida and Georgia over the last few weeks. Central is 12 – 6 overall, and they are joined only by Luther in the rankings, who climbed up to No. 7 and hold a 7 – 1 record. Simpson and Coe are each receiving votes. It has been a lengthy break for Central, who have not played since March 13 due to cancellations and postponements; they are next scheduled to play a week from this Friday on April 1 at home in a doubleheader versus William Penn in the Central Invitational.
