Playing down in Florida, a long day for the Central Softball team netted a split, a 3-2 loss to Thomas More out of Kentucky and a dominating 8-3 victory over Mount St. Joseph out of Ohio.

Four Walks and two errors would lead to a 3-1 deficit in the fourth inning in game one, and a late charge by the Dutch would fall just short. In game two the bats would come alive as Central would do all their damage in the first two innings with a three then a five spot to claim victory. Annie Devries would find the win on the mound, pitching four innings and giving up two unearned runs on three hits for her first decision on the season. Central softball is now 6-2 on the young season. Also in Florida on the baseball side, Central would hold a 4-0 lead going into the fifth inning, but a five run inning by Albion College out of Michigan would eventually lead to an 8-5 Dutch loss. Rightfielder Adam Lindell would have another strong day at the plate going 3-5 with a triple, but the loss brings Central to 1-2. The Softball team will play Widener out of Pennsylvania today, while the Baseball team will hit the field against Thomas More.
