Despite a loss in their first round playoff game to Madrid, the PCM Mustang boys basketball team still has plenty of fond memories and plenty to work with for next year.

Coach Fred Lorenson told KNIA/KRLS Sports that the team accomplished its goal from the beginning of the season to compete for a Heart of Iowa Conference title and get a first round playoff bye. Even the loss of PCM great Logan Gilman does not dampen the spirits of the team for next year, as they have a great crop of younger players ready to come in and start producing at the varsity level. Lorenson tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the season went by fast, but they are already looking ahead to next year. The Mustangs finished 13-9 on the season.
