The Knoxville Fire Department and the Knoxville Police Department responded to the scene of a double garage fire at 406 W Larson yesterday afternoon.

Fire crews were on scene quickly, and prevented the fire from spreading to the home and adjacent homes. Knoxville Fire Chief Jim Mitchell tells KNIA/KRLS News that no one was harmed in the blaze, and that first responders did excellent work containing the fire before it spread. Another garage, a shed and the home to which the garage belonged took minor damage from the heat. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
