The Knoxville Public Library is hosting an Iowa Flag Day Celebration today.

Amazing! Awesome Iowa! is a children’s Program to be held from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. An adult program, ​Iowa’s Hidden Treasures will be held from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Both programs are with Dan Kaercher. A ​silent pie auction will be held during the 6:00-7:00 p.m. event. Proceeds from the pie auction will benefit the library expansion project.

In honor of Iowa Flag Day, Rep. Greg Heartsill is making Iowa flags flown over the State Capitol available at a discounted price of $29 this week.

Anyone interested in purchasing a 3’ x 5’ Iowa flag should contact the Knoxville Public Library to sign-up. Proceeds are being donated to the library expansion project.
