The Marion County Republicans gathered for their county convention Saturday.

Marion County Republican Chair T. Waldmann-Williams tells KNIA/KRLS News the party selected delegates to send to the next convention in Ottumwa.

“From here, we get individuals who are delegates today, or who are not–who want to move on to be delegates for the state and district conventions,” she says.

She says they also set their party platform as a county, and those in attendance made amendments to a plan agreed upon at caucus.
