With the top teams of the Heart of Iowa Conference mostly returning talent, the PCM Mustang girls basketball team wants to expand one of the areas where the Lady Mustangs had a significant edge this past season, offensive rebounding.

The Mustangs were second in the conference in offensive rebounding, and for a team that was still finding its offensive identity the rebounding was a saving grace. The girls will return five of its six top rebounders from this past season, and with the offense finding a groove late in the season those offensive rebounds will have even more efficiency if they can keep up the numbers. The Lady Mustangs will have to up their defensive rebounding numbers, where they ranked near the bottom of the conference but some of that could be due to the large number of steals PCM got, which ranked third in the conference. The Mustangs were 13-10 and earned a playoff win, and will return seven juniors to next years squad.
