It was a busy offseason for many of the golfers back for Coach Jim Dingeman and Pella Christian’s boys’ team. While some were tied up with basketball and football the last two “seasons,” the Eagles were able to hit the links over the summer to hone their skills for the upcoming spring season. Graham Howerzyl golfed his way to districts last year, and the team fell just a few shots short of advancing in the postseason. Dingeman says the team has made some big strides, which will lead to some good battles for the six varsity roster spots available each meet. Dingeman adds the Eagles should be very competitive inside of Little Hawkeye Conference play this year, with a goal of playing at the Class 2A state meet.
