With spring break coming up for Pella High, the Lady Dutch Track and Field team was a little shorthanded on Saturday in the Central indoor meet. Among the top finishers included Paighton Malek placing third in the long jump out of 76 athletes. She leapt 15’1.5” to take the bronze. Emma Thoreson was runner-up in the 60 meter hurdles finals out of 106 competitors. Teammate Kiki Pingel was eighth. Pella’s 4 x 400 meter relay team took third, and Mackenna Goemaat was tenth in the 400 meters. Full results for Pella High can be found below. The girls are off until April 2 when they rejoin the boys’ team at the Panther Relays in Knoxville.
