One area the PCM Girls Track Team can rely on this season will be the sprinters, with plenty of talent coming back to bolster their ranks.

The team will bring back team standout Ashley Van Gorp, who lead the team in the 200m and 400m dash, as well as Jayce Vos and Emily Hugen who were numbers two and three in the 100m dash. Vos, a junior, was also the team leader a year ago in the 400m hurdles. Long distance running however will have to have some girls step up, as they need to replace state champion and school record holder in the 1500m run Rachel Peter. Rachel Stafford has the potential to step into those shoes, she lead the team in the 800m run with a time of 2:27.86. The PCM Girls Track Team will next compete on March 29th at Centerville.
