On Championship Saturday, despite playing in the consolation game at noon, Pella High junior, Ryan Van Wyk, had an extra reason to stick around for the Class 3A title game. Van Wyk was named to the Class 3A Farm Bureau All-Tournament Team for an outstanding week of hoops for the junior clad in green. During his appearance at state, Van Wyk scored 57 points, third most of any player, and collected the fourth-most rebounds with 21. The Little Dutch had five of the top 14 rebounders for the tournament, and four of the top 14 scorers. Pella finished with a record of 24 – 2, and graduate a total of six seniors from their varsity squad.
