Nearly every spring sport will be in action this afternoon and evening for Pella High. On the links, Pella High’s boys’ and girls’ golf teams face Oskaloosa in some shape or form this afternoon. The Lady Dutch are at Edmundson Park, while the boys are at Grinnell to take on the Indians and the Tigers in a triangular meet. The girls’ invitational is an 18-hole tournament that will also feature Albia, Centerville, Knoxville, Mount Pleasant, Norwalk, Ottumwa, PCM, and Winterset. This will be the third meet in four days for Pella High, and Coach Mike Vint says he tries to lighten the work load as much as he can for the team so they can continue to see golf as an enjoyable time, rather than as a grind. The tennis teams for Pella both face Newton; the boys are on the road, and the girls will stay at home for a change. Speaking of Newton, the Lady Dutch track and field team will try to get their last licks in for Drake Relays qualifying at HA Lynn Stadium, and the Little Dutch go to Waukee for the second time this year for another big meet. KNIA/KRLS Sports will have full recaps of all area sports action throughout the day tomorrow, and on KNIAKRLS.com.
