The Little Dutch boys ran a lighter-than-usual lineup at the Pella Christian track invitational Tuesday night, but still came away with meet victory. Head Coach Brent Van Hauen says the stepping-stone meet was a way to look at how the athletes performed in individual races.
Pella took home numerous first place finishes, including Austin Hill in the shotput, Michael Buma in the 110 hurdles, Isaac Vos in the 1600 meters, Chase Van Sant in the 100 meters, Blaise Wingard in the 3200, ad the 4×800 relay team. The PCM Boys Track squad also competed in the meet with the distance medley team finishing in first place, and numerous second place finishes including Luke Greiner in the long jump, Noah Anderson in the 200 and 400, Austin Sneller in the high hurdles, and Chris Ellens in the 1600. The Pella Lady Dutch took another 1st place finish on the girls side at the Pella Christian meet as well. Pella’s girls are traveling to Lynnville-Sully Thursday, and the boys are off until a meet against Norwalk Monday.
