With their rivalry game with Pella out of the way, Pella Christian’s boys’ and girls’ soccer teams return to the pitch tonight to step out of the Little Hawkeye Conference for a pair of games against Heart of Iowa Conference opponents. The Eagles’ boys will be playing the last of a six-game homestand against C-M-B. The 7 – 0 Eagles have not played the Raiders for quite some time, and will try to keep the momentum going as they look ahead to a big road conference game against Norwalk this Tuesday. There was reason to celebrate after their 1 – 0 win over Pella on Tuesday, but Coach Gerrit Brouwer says their focus is always on the next game due to the “brand” of soccer they bring out each contest. Pella Christian’s girls are on the road for the fourth time in as many games to play at Chariton. PC has lost all three games of their current road trip, and they haven’t scored a goal since their tournament at Southeast Polk almost two weeks ago. The red hot Eagles’ tennis team is also in action against a Heart of Iowa Conference foe: Saydel. The tennis meet is scheduled for a 4:15 p.m. start, the girls’ soccer varsity game is set to start at 5:30 p.m., while the boys will kick-off at 7:00.
