A lengthy stretch of home meets continued last night for the Pella Christian girls’ tennis squad, who earned a tough 7-4 victory over conference foe Newton.

The Eagles had to win a number of marathon matches against the Cardinals, including Rachel Tvedt’s win over Kate Wyre in the number two-match, which featured a 10-6 third set, Bethany Van Kooten’s three-set victory in the number-six hole, and a four-set marathon in the final doubles match with Cassidy Bush and Erica Van Soelen.

Pella Christian is now 4-0 and end their five-meet home stretch Tuesday vs. Grinnell.
