People driving on Lincoln Friday morning on the north side of Knoxville may have noticed increased activity at the Knoxville Armory.

Colonel Greg Hapgood with the Iowa National Guard in Camp Dodge tells KNIA/KRLS News that this is a three day weekend of training for the Guard. He says that increased numbers of service members in Knoxville is due to renovations underway at the Oskaloosa Armory. In Knoxville on Friday, the troops travel to Camp Dodge today for their yearly physical, and for weapons training. Hapgood says it will be a busy and productive weekend.
