On another night where the wind ruled all, Pella High’s girls’ soccer team blanked and dominated Bondurant – Farrar yesterday, 4 – 0. All four of the Lady Dutch’s goals came in the first half, and the shots on goal were very one-sided. Pella High outshot the Bluejays 46 – 1 for the contest, and 31 of those shots were on goal. Goals came from Katie Vander Molen, Bellara Huang (WHO-ong), and two from Alice Licktieg. Pella’s boys secured their first win of the season against Fairfield, 5 – 2. The Lady Dutch improve to 2 – 0, the boys are now 1 – 2; the girls return to the pitch tomorrow in a home triangular versus Des Moines Roosevelt and North Polk, and the boys are off until Tuesday to resume conference play against Grinnell.
