The Melcher-Dallas Boys Track and Field Squad has had no meets to this point. Both of the Saints’ scheduled meets have been called off, so they have had a couple extra weeks of work. Coach Mike Hortsman tells KNIA/KRLS the focus in practice has been to get the basic start down, and hand offs on the relay teams. He says with such a young team they need to start at the basics, but does credit Middle School Track Coach Jessica Nolte for teaching the kids basic skills and the rules of track and field.
