As the temperature continues to steadily climb, as does the action on the track. Competing in yet another meet, the Pella Christian girls came in fourth place at the Rocket Relays at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. A solid handful of top-three finishes fueled Pella Christian to a team total of 84.5 points, just eight behind the host Rockets. Davis County won the meet with 136 total team points. Lizzy Van Manen threw the furthest discus with a hurl of 119’8”, Pella Christian’s 4 x 200 meter relay team took the gold, and Evie Armstrong in the 100 meter dash, Mary Kate Bandstra in the 200 meter dash, and the sprint medley and 4 x 100 meter relay teams finished second.
