The PCM Girls soccer team would go 1-2 in their games at the Southeast Polk tournament this weekend.

The team was without at least six starters and were forced to play a majority of underclassman for the tournament. The Lady Mustangs would fall to Pella Christian 3-0, defeat Des Moines North 3-0, and then fall to Marshalltown 3-0. Coach Bill Sowder was impressed with his team’s effort and fight despite the roster setbacks, and said that it was a great opportunity for his younger girls to get some varsity action. The lady mustangs are now 2-3 to start the season, and next play on Tuesdsay at home against Nevada.
