Pella High School’s band and theatre students will celebrate the nearing end of the school year with a pair of special concerts this weekend.

Director of Bands Jason Pentico says the traditional Carnaby Club features performers from the award-winning Jazz I and Jazz II, percussion, string, and vocal ensembles, as well as other variety acts.

“It’s a really great way for us to end the school year,” he says. “We’ve had some very active groups this year, and so this is a really neat way for our local folks to watch our groups that maybe have not gotten to see them.”

Doors open at 7 p.m Friday and Saturday, with the shows starting at 7:30 pm. Admission costs $5, and children five years old and under get in for free.
