After one meet it is still way too early in the season to say where a track team will be come postseason qualification time, but one area so far where the Trojans can improve upon and try to gain some more points is the hurdles area.

The Trojans had top five finishers in nearly every event in the first meet of the season at Pella Christian earlier this week save the two individual hurdles event. Evan Mann would get closest where he would place 7th in the 400meter hurdles, followed closely by Colten Major who placed 8th. Coach Gabe Bakker told KNIA/KRLS Sports that especially early on in the season he is planning on rotating in as many of his track athletes as possible to get maximum exposure so the showing may not be indicative of how the team will place as a whole, but as of now the Trojans will look to score more points in the hurdles areas as they move on further into the season.
