Greg and Angie Heartsill along with the Knoxville Police Department and several other community partners are coming together to meet with children about bike safety and helmet safety.

The event will take place in the city lot across the street from the police department on Friday, May 27 at noon. Marion County Public Health will provide a hot dog lunch and new boys and girls bikes will be given away. Knoxville Police Lieutenant Aaron Fuller warns that as school lets out and more bicyclists take to the streets it is even more important for drivers to be aware of their surroundings. Helmet fitting services will also be provided at the event to ensure maximum protection.
