With the Pella Christian girls’ tennis team making it to the regional team final this Saturday, they now turn their attention to qualifying individuals and doubles squads tomorrow to the state tournament. Andrea Carballo and Abbie Vander Molen have been a dominant force this season for the Eagles in doubles competition. Entering and exiting this past Saturday’s regional team tournament with an unblemished record, the tandem look to do what Andrea DeBruin and Rachel Tvedt did last year, and make it to the state doubles tournament in Class 1A. Coach Danielle Stubbs says their chemistry and knowledge of the game has contributed to their dominating 2016 season so far. The individual and doubles regional tournaments are tomorrow at Pella High School starting at 9:00 a.m.
