Bradley Michael Hughes of Knoxville was arrested Sunday after he allegedly threatened to kill Knoxville police officers with a compound bow.

Officers were dispatched to a residence on East Robinson Street after getting a report of a possible domestic situation. Witnesses told police that Hughes had destroyed stereo equipment belonging to a victim he shared the home with after he became upset. Before police arrived Hughes allegedly retrieved the compound bow and stood on the curb yelling he would kill the first person that showed up. Hughes eventually put the bow away and left the residence on foot. He called the victim in the presence of officers and restated that he was going to kill them with the bow. Hughes was later found and arrested. He is charged with going armed with intent, criminal mischief in the 4th degree, and simple assault.
