It looked like the Knoxville Boys Tennis Squad was coming down to a three team fight for the Ottumwa Invitational title between the Panthers, Ottumwa and Fairfield Maharishi, but rain ended the day before doubles could be played thus ended the meet with the three teams tied with nine points. Knoxville Coach Greg Higginbotham told KNIA/KRLS the meet ended but not without doing well in singles with A-J Jackson already clinching first place, Blake McClung had nailed down third place, Branden DeLong had finished second, however all other matches were called off.
