Ally Mitchell’s goal just one minute into overtime gave the Knoxville Girls Soccer squad a 1-0 victory last night over Creston. The Panthers nearly had the match won in regulation when a shot bounced off the post. Knoxville is now 4-7 on the season and will host Pella Christian on Monday. The boys made easy and quick work of Centerville, walloping the Big Reds 12-1. Chase Larson went on a goal scoring frenzy with five tallies, Patrick Crawford scored a hat trick in the first half. Also getting scores were Alex Wadle with two and Logan Dursky, and Spencer DeJoode with one each. Larson also assisted on three goals with Wadle and Nick Moats on two, Dursky and Crawford with one assist each. Knoxville is now 6-6 on the season secure their second straight South Central Conference championship and will travel to Pella Christian on Monday.
