Speaking at the beginning of the year on the Knoxville Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner on KNIA and KRLS, Mike Vint said that a team that can have several girls shoot in the 40s is a very dangerous team. This was proven correct yesterday when his Pella High girls’ golf team shot in the 40s and low 50s in the 18-hole Little Hawkeye Conference meet at Grinnell, making the Lady Dutch conference champions for 2016. Five Pella High golfers finished in the top 12 to earn all-conference honors: Sydney Wiskus led the way with a 93, good for third best overall, Camille Henry put up a 95, Kenzie Nossaman shot 97, Brooke Galeazzi had a 101, and Aanna Roslien scored a 104. Pella shot a 386 as a team to beat second-place Newton by 19 strokes. Full results are below.
