The PCM Baseball team started the season off in a big way with a 5-4 nail-biting win over Heart of Iowa Conference rival Greene County last night.

The tight game was highlighted by catcher Ryan Hill’s diving catch off a foul bunt in the bottom of the seventh which would seal the win. Noah Henkenius would start on the mound for the Mustangs and pick up the win going five innings and giving up only one unearned run gathering five strikeouts. Braden Phifer, Sheldon Speers, Noah Clark and Henkenius would all pick up two hits. The Mustangs will play South Tama tonight for their home opener. The Softball team would fare opposite the baseball squad, falling to Greene County 5-4 and will next play tomorrow at South Hamilton.
