The PCM boys’ golf team had four scores of 83 or less to win the sectional meet yesterday in Conrad. The Mustangs shot a 324, beating second-place Albia by a baker’s dozen. Dayton Boell’s round of 76 was tops for PCM, and he was followed by Ryan Hill’s 82, Reid Jenkins and Andrew Van Ryswyk’s scores of 83. Albia’s team score of 337 was one better than Pella Christian’s 338, keeping the Eagles out of the district meet by a mere stroke. However, PC will advance two individuals to districts: Mitch Fopma shot an 80 for third place overall, and Graham Howerzyl was right behind him with an 81. Full Pella Christian and PCM results can be found listed below. Both schools will play a regular season meet at Bos Landen for the Eagles’ varsity invitational tournament.
