The Class 2A area schools had themselves a nice day at the state track and field tournament yesterday.

Pella Christian would compete in three events and Eddie Pringle would be in two. Pringle ran in the 200m dash preliminaries where he would place 15th overall, and compete in the long jump and garnered a 23rd overall finish. Evie Armstrong for the Eagle Girls Squad would place 21st in the 100mdash.

The PCM Girls Team would have just two events going today, the 4x800m relay team would finish in 24th place overall, and Ashley Van Gorp would place 17th in the long jump.

Pleasantville’s lone competitor in the state meet, Hunter Tyree in the long jump, would be finished early on with a surprising 9th place finish.

All three schools have more events going on throughout the day today, and you can listen to KNIA/KLRS or go to KNIAKRLS.com for full meet updates.
