With many of the athletes on both the PCM Mustang Boys and Girls Soccer teams competing in the Track and Field State Qualifiers, both squads would fall last night. The girls would fall 2-0 at the hands of Chariton, while the boys would lose 7-1 to Newton.

The Lady Mustangs was bolstered by the JV roster, but the Chargers proved to be too much for PCM, scoring a goal in each half while the Mustangs would miss 15 shots on goal and a penalty kick. The boys would also be shorthanded, but get a goal from Ryan Kohlhof. Coach Darin Telfer said the team fought hard against a really good Newton team. The girls fall to 5-9 and will play Knoxville this evening while the boys fall to 3-7 and play Des Moines Christian Next Tuesday.
