Two area girls’ golf teams are state tournament bound.

The Pleasantville Trojans would continue their undefeated season with a first place finish in second round regional play at Oskaloosa’s Edmundson Golf Course with a score of 390, a full seven strokes ahead of second place Ogden. Pella shot a team score of 384 in Newton, which second best to Fairfield at that site, to qualify.

Bailey Oliva was meet runner up in Oskaloosa with a card of 88 and Hannah Gordon would place fourth with an 89. Individually, both Oliva and Gordon will be moving on to the state tournament as well.

Camille Henry was the runner-up meet medalist in Newton and qualified by herself with an 18-hole score of 84. Both teams will enjoy the rest of the week off and prepare to tee-off at Coldwater Links in Ames for the Class 4A state tournament on May 31 and June 1.
