The Knoxville Baseball Squad will have an important South Central Conference game tonight against Chariton. The Panthers have a one game lead on Centerville for first place in the conference, and the Panthers control their own destiny. Knoxville and the Chargers split a varsity double header on June eighth in two very different games with Knoxville getting the dominating game one victory and the Chargers winning the night cap. Both teams seem to be going in opposite directions with Knoxville winning three in a row while the Chargers are reeling in the midst of a six game losing streak. Panther Junior Shortstop Blake McClung tells KNIA/KRLS Sports as one of the leaders on the team he hopes the younger players keep improving and getting that goal of the conference title. You can hear the action tonight on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and kniakrls.com starting at seven.
