The bats were still warm, but the Knoxville Softball Squad ultimately lost to Centerville last night 5-4 in eight innings. Ricki Hall lead the hitting for Knoxville going 2/4 with another home run. Emily Wallace and Anna Sanderson had doubles to pace the Panthers hitting. Wallace tells KNIA/KRLS Sports her recent surge at the plate is due to putting in extra work in the batting cage. Delaynne South took the tough luck loss going the distance surrendering five runs on eight hits, two walks, and two strikeouts. Knoxville is now 10-15 and 4-6 in the South Central Conference and will host Chariton tonight.
