It was a short night for the Knoxville Softball Squad, and not the kind of short night they wanted. The Panthers lost to class 2A number seven Eddvyille-Blakebsurg 17-5 in three innings. The Panthers did get several good plate appearances as Ricki Hall and Maddy Findley went 2/2 on the night with Findley getting a double and three RBIs. Also joining Findley with doubles were Emily Wallace, and Shaye Nichols. Nichols and Ally Vanderhart had the other two RBIs. Coach Steph Christner tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the girls have to believe in the system for their fortunes to change. Delaynne South took the loss as the Panthers fall to 5-11 on the season and head to the Oskaloosa Classic today to take on Wayne and Carlisle.
