The Knoxville Softball Squad met up with a hot hitting Centerville squad last night and fell in South Central Conference action 14-2. The Redettes would pound out 19 hits on the night to Knoxville’s four and the biggest damage was done in the seventh inning when Centerville struck for seven runs to blow the game open. For Knoxville Carrie Chambers was 2/3 with a walk and a run scored while Delaynne South took the loss striking out four and walking one. Knoxville is now 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the South Central Conference. The Panthers are in action on Thursday in a varsity double header against Keokuk, the nightcap can be heard on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA.
