The Knoxville Softball Squad will venture to the far southeastern part of the state today. The Panthers will travel to the Keokuk Invitational and play the host Chiefs and Central Lee. The Panthers already have a couple of games against Keokuk, losing both in a varsity double header earlier in June. The Panthers have struggled all season at the plate, which was not a concern coming into the season. Coach Steph Christner tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the coaching staff has been working with several of the girls to figure out how to improve their batting. Knoxville also will take on a Central Lee team that has struggled to find consistency all season.
