The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers continues summer programming through the 4th of July weekend.
Park Ranger Tracy Spry says on Thursday they are hosting the Miss Butterfly’s Bug Bash, with preregistration required.
“We’re encouraging people to come dressed as bugs of different sorts,” Spry says.
On Friday, the Nature’s Fireworks: Firefly Hike is set to begin at 9:00 p.m. at Whitebreast Camp. Boat builders of all ages are challenged to test their design skills and build a tiny sailboat for the shores of Lake Red Rock at 10 a.m. Saturday at North Overlook Beach. Bobber the Water Safety Dog is also going to be at Whitebreast Beach on Sunday beginning at 1 p.m.
