Marion County Fireworks Celebrations are beginning around Marion County.

Leighton will have fireworks July 1. Knoxville will hold a show July 3 and Pleasantville, Pella and Bussey will all have fireworks on the night of the Fourth.

Pleasantville

A full day of activities are planned beginning with a breakfast at the Masonic Lodge at 7 a.m. and a Flag raising ceremony at 8 a.m. The Pet Stop will be sponsoring a Pet Show from 9 a.m. to 10 am on the city square in downtown Pleasantville. The parade lineup begins at 10 a.m. at the high school and the parade starts at 11 a.m. After the parade come to the Methodist Family Living Center for lunch from 12 pm to 1 p.m. The Star Spangled Dancers will be performing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 pm at the Pleasantville High School Gymnasium.

Knoxville

This year’s Knoxville fireworks display will be held at the municipal airport.
No parking will be allowed on the airport grounds, but the surrounding areas are fair game. The display will be held the evening of Sunday, July 3, as soon as it gets dark. The fireworks will be launched from the north end of the airport runway.

Bussey

The City of Bussey’s annual 4th of July celebration will have a range of music, food and activities this year.
Events will begin with an Ozark Amusements Carnival from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday July 3rd and will close out with fireworks at 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4. The two-day celebration includes dance, Bussey memorabilia, karaoke, and other attractions. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS and KNIA/KRLS.com for updates on other area Fourth of July celebrations.

Leighton will have fireworks on July 1 at dark. The Lil Big Red Radio will be at the event playing music.

Pella

Pella will have fireworks on July 4. The Big Red Radio will be there playing music.
